Welcome to The Malt Shovel, Cannington.
Located just off the main A39 Bridgwater to Minehead road in the hamlet of Bradley Green, just outside the village of Cannington, and two miles from the centre of Bridgwater. This beautiful area was extremely popular with the Renaissance poets. Wordsworth, Byron, Coleridge and Shelley all resided locally.
The Malt Shovel boasts a cosy intimate bar setting, with original beams, inglenooks & fire places. Adjoining the bar is a large 80 seated restaurant with views over the fields, across towards the Quantock Hills & also patio doors opening on to our large beer garden.
We serve Fresh homemade food 7 days a week, including Carvery on a Sunday. Our talented Chefs use seasonal produce and source locally where possible.
We have recently undergone some refurbishment on our old skittle alley, resulting in 8 en-suite chalets being built along the garden.
